The Importance of Keeping Cash in Hand

There's stuff we "want," and then there's stuff we "need." If you're like me though, those lines can get pretty blurry. Recently, I've gotten a little better at distinguishing between the two. Before I make a split-second purchase, I imagine the item in one hand and the cash I'm about to spend in the other. Just visualizing the money makes it easier to say "no" to stuff I know I don't need. Like yet another garden gnome.
