Farm Bureau Insurance of Tennessee Appoints Josh Webber as Chief Transformation Officer
Farm Bureau Insurance of Tennessee has appointed Josh Webber as its first Chief Transformation Officer (CTO), effective Nov. 1. This strategic move aims to align the company's long-term vision, growth strategy, and innovation efforts under a centralized role.
Webber, currently the Chief Operating Officer for Property and Casualty Operations, will oversee enterprise-wide initiatives focused on sustainable growth, enhanced support for agents and customers, and strengthening the company's position in the insurance market. His responsibilities will include managing digital distribution and service, integrating data and technology, overseeing organizational change, and leading product and process innovation. The CTO role will also encompass the duties of the Chief Administrative Officer, fostering a more unified and agile approach to operational transformation.
"In today's fast-evolving world, having a vision is not enough. We need someone who can bring that vision to life in a practical and results-driven way," said Bobby Pulley, incoming CEO. "Josh has a deep understanding of our company with proven leadership. He is the right leader to help us move forward."
Webber's nearly 30-year tenure with the company began as an agent in Cookeville. He has held several leadership positions, including Agency Manager, Regional Manager, Chief Administrative Officer, and most recently, Chief Operating Officer, where he oversaw daily operations for the Property and Casualty company. He played a key role in launching the company's "Journey of Transformation" and brings a unique blend of operational expertise and forward-thinking leadership to his new position.
"I'm honored to take on this role and excited to help shape the future of a company I've been proud to serve for decades," said Webber. "As we build on the momentum of the Journey project envisioned by Mr. Pannell, we're poised to embrace a future shaped by Mr. Pulley and continue evolving our business. We have a tremendous opportunity to invest in new ways to serve our customers, support our agents, and grow with purpose."
Bo Rivers named Property & Casualty Chief Operating Officer
With Webber's transition to CTO, Region 7 Regional Manager Bo Rivers will assume the role of Chief Operating Officer for Property and Casualty Operations, effective Nov. 1. Rivers began his Farm Bureau Insurance career in 1997 as an agent in Franklin County. He served as an agency manager in Sequatchie County from 2005 to 2007 and was named manager of Region 10 in 2007. He transitioned to Regional Manager of Region 7 in 2021.
"Bo's leadership, operational insight, and expertise make him the perfect fit to continue to build upon the success of our company," said Pulley. "He has built strong relationships in the agency force, understands our business, and has the operational experience to help move us forward. With Bo as COO and Josh leading transformation, we have the right team in place to grow our business and continue to provide exceptional service to our members."
"I am honored to be named Chief Operating Officer of the Property and Casualty company and grateful for Mr. Pulley's confidence in me," said Rivers. "My passion has always been in operations, especially property and casualty, and I look forward to working every day with the P&C team and agents across the state."
Rivers is a native of Columbia, Tennessee, and holds an agricultural business degree from Middle Tennessee State University. He and his wife, Rachel, have three sons.
