
Farm Bureau Insurance of Tennessee is rated A+ by AM Best
AM Best has affirmed the A+ (Superior) Financial Strength Ratings of Tennessee Farmers Mutual Insurance Company and Tennessee Farmers Life Insurance Company, recognizing the companies’ continued financial strength and ability to meet their obligations to policyholders.
AM Best also affirmed an A+ (Superior) Financial Strength Rating for Tennessee Farmers Assurance Company. The outlook for the Tennessee Farmers Insurance Companies’ (TFIC) ratings was revised to stable.
According to AM Best, “the ratings reflect TFIC’s balance sheet strength, which AM Best assesses as strongest, as well as its strong operating performance, favorable business profile, and appropriate enterprise risk management.” Read the full press release from AM Best.

The recognition continues a long history of financial strength for Tennessee Farmers Mutual Insurance Company (TFMIC). In the August 2026 issue of Best’s Review, AM Best recognized TFMIC among 207 insurers that have maintained a Best’s Financial Strength Rating of A or higher for at least 50 years. Since its founding in 1948, TFMIC has earned an A or higher rating for 72 years.
