On March 31, 2010, the Board adopted a resolution to make an offer to buy up to 200,000 shares of Life Company stock at $30.76 per share (the appraised value based on an actuarial evaluation). This offer permits stockholders to convert their shares to cash if they so desire. The appraised value reflects an increase of 15.6% from the prior year.
Also on March 31, 2010, the Board adopted a resolution to make an offer to buy up to 200,000 shares of Assurance Company stock at $15.08 per share (the appraised value based on an actuarial evaluation). This offer permits stockholders to convert their shares to cash if they so desire. The appraised value reflects an increase of 8.4% from the prior year.
